Ordering and Tracking

In the past, a lot of our orders were delivered via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back into the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we receive an e-mail on our phones. We can even log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

Allstate Property Appraisal Services understands that real estate is all about timeliness. We use our resources to reduce waiting between communications since the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually speed up the entire appraisal process.

Allstate Property Appraisal Services believes in working smarter

Gathering the data for an appraisal is an in-depth process. We spend a great deal of time obtaining the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help Allstate Property Appraisal Services.

Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an application created for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. And instead of using an old tape measure, we're seeing that more appraisers are adopting laser measuring devices that are quicker, more accurate, and can get into places that normal tape measures have always had problems with.

All of this technology ensures that the final report is as thorough and conclusive as possible. This helps both you and us by requiring less time for call-backs and revisions. Our goal is to save you time and money.

Appraisal Report Delivery

At a very minimum, you can expect us to deliver your final report electronically as a PDF. Generally our clients are most familiar with receiving PDFs attached to their e-mail. It's much more efficient than the old days before e-mail. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with report delivery with this website.

Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had problems sending or receiving an e-mail because it was too big? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too.  Whenever we send an appraisal, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. By bypassing email completely we can get around any problems caused by file size. And the best thing is that the file will be hosted on this site for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.

Finally, we use all digital workfiles...

It would probably be easier if appraisers could complete an assignment, give it to the client and never worry about revisiting that document again. However, appraisals are used to document the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers are required by law to keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.

To sum it all up, Allstate Property Appraisal Services uses all the technology available to us technology to improve service. By storing every aspect of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall just what that job was about.

These are just a few examples of how we use technology daily. Using the right software, services, gadgets and gizmos allows the appraiser to collect the appraisal data to finish the report faster and more accurately than previously possible.
